John co-founded BridgePoint Financial Services Inc. in August 2005 and has led the development of new financing and indemnity products and BridgePoint’s entry into new markets in Europe and the Caribbean. He was responsible for introducing financing and indemnity protection for class actions in Canada, which ultimately led to the creation of BICO Risk Management (formerly BridgePoint Indemnity Company or BICO) in 2012, the first organisation to offer legal expense indemnification / ATE insurance in the Canadian market.

In 2015, John co-founded SpectraLegal Finance Ltd., to provide finance to the U.K. legal services market leveraging BridgePoint’s expertise financing law firms and mass contract/tort claims. In 2021, he was appointed as a trusted advisor to the UK government to manage legal claims for a complex mass contract/tort program.

For each of these businesses, considerable investments were made to develop robust, highly flexible and scalable portals, allowing consumers, businesses, and their lawyers to more efficiently pursue their claims with direct access to finance, insurance and expert services.

David is Company Secretary and Head of Corporate Services of St John’s Buildings Chambers, one of the largest barristers’ chambers in the country. He sits as a Board member and a member of the Senior Management Team of the set, providing expertise on corporate governance, audit, regulation and legal practice. David is also Vice-President of Manchester Law Society and will become the President in December 2023.

Having studied law at university (2:1 LLB (Hons)), David’s background includes working on the Bar Council team responsible for the Legal Services Act 2007 and the Carter Review of Legal Aid, as well as having been the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Bar.

David is a non-executive Director of eDR, with a particular interest in governance, the developing legal services market, legal regulation and access to justice.

Alex has extensive experience in global aspects of the financial, telecommunications and technical sectors. His involvement includes an array of senior management responsibilities as well as senior consulting engagements. For the last several years, he has headed his own technology and business consulting firm for clients which include Royal Trust, Bank of Montreal and AT&T Canada and a number of Wealth Management firms. Alex has architected and managed the development of International Financial Systems; he is a B.Sc equivalent from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in the area of Applied Computer Science. (ACPS)

Over the last 10 years, Alex and his related companies have focused on building, managing and operating large scale portals in Financial and Insurance industries for major client such as Co-operators insurance, BridgePoint Financial, SpectraLegal, and GluskinSheff/ONYX. Alex has been and is a part of number of high tech startups. He is also part of a number of advisory boards for US and Canadian wealth management firms.

Rowan has over 25 years in the Financial and Professional Services industries having held senior structured finance and COO positions.

Rowan was appointed as SpectraLegal’s COO. He focussed on developing and delivering scaleable platform solutions to more efficiently pursue legal claims by integrating technology, finance and insurance.

Prior to joining SpectraLegal, Rowan has undertaken a COO and Board role for TORI Global, a global Financial Services consultancy business where he has been instrumental in the business growth and international expansion.

In addition, Rowan has over 15 years of banking experience, specifically within the structured property finance, structured consumer credited front office teams and latterly also held COO positions responsible for the Non Bank Financial Institutions, Financial Institutions, Multinational and Large Corporate teams within a tier 1 UK bank.
